Hanbok Rental — Free Palace Entry

Open to allSource linked, conditions may varyIn person

Summary

Rent a hanbok (Korean traditional dress) near the palaces and get FREE admission to Seoul's royal palaces — Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung and Gyeonghuigung — a policy for hanbok wearers since 2013. Rental shops (e.g. Hanboknam, Oneday Hanbok) cluster around Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon.

How to use

Rent a hanbok (top + bottom; most rental designs qualify) from about ₩6,000–10,000/hour or ~₩25,000/day, then enter the palaces free while wearing it. Booking online (Klook/KKday) can save time.

Conditions for foreign visitors

Foreigner-ready
Overseas card accepted
Walk-in available

Conditional discount notes

Free palace entry requires wearing a qualifying hanbok (both jeogori top and chima/baji bottom). Rental price/conditions vary by shop. The benefit is free palace admission, not a discount on goods.
